Fairview International School Ipoh is an authorised IB World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). Fairview Ipoh belongs to the Fairview network, which has five IB World Schools strategically located across Malaysia and one international school in the UK. Our other campuses located in Kuala Lumpur, Subang Jaya, Penang, and Johor Bahru are all honoured to have been authorised by the IB Organisation (IBO) in all their programmes.

All Fairview institutes are co-educational day schools set within extensively purpose-built grounds and the main medium is English. The Ipoh campus can facilitate over 600 students however each class contains approximately 24 pupils with a ratio of 1 teacher to 10 students to permit student-centered, active learning.
Dedicated to providing premier yet affordable education, Fairview International School was established in 1978 for parents seeking a more enriching and comprehensive form of learning. From its humble beginnings and only a handful of students, Fairview International School is now home to over 2,000 students in five IB World Schools across Malaysia, representing over 55 different nations.
Despite the school’s many achievements, Fairview lacked one thing – a true home. Until 2009 the students and staff of the Kuala Lumpur campus had been uprooted several times from one location to another, for various reasons. Since then, Fairview has grown in leaps and bounds, reaching a significant milestone of 44 years in 2022.
More importantly, Fairview has inspired the minds of thousands of students over the years; students who not only achieve outstanding academic results but are nurtured socially, emotionally and physically. Our students leave the halls of Fairview as internationally-minded global citizens, equipped with essential skills for the many challenges of the 21st century.
